It’s been awhile since I’ve last posted and there’s been a good reason.
I finally went full-time working for Paubox in January this year. That meant goodbye to trying to grow a startup in the evenings after the kids went to bed, or trying to sneak in time on the weekends.
I still work in the evenings, but it’s been worth it and a hell of a lot of fun.
But I’ve taken over some interim-COO duties of late as we’ve hired and grown a bit. We’re going through the typical growth pains of any startup.
Making sure we have the processes in place to scale has been a lot more work than I anticipated.
But I think we’ve finally turned the corner this past March, posting our first profitable month since we decided to hire ahead of revenue in December. Fixing our billing process was a big part of that, and took a lot of work.
Lesson learned: Never underestimate the value of processes.
I also was lucky enough to be a guest on Growth Hacking Geniuses, which previously hosted guests that are on my Growth Marketing List like Sujan Patel and Benji Hyam.
Here’s a link to the podcast, I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks to Matt Tanguay for hosting me and I can’t wait to do it again.
